  • Fit me to a Tee. I left home without telling anyone goodbye and drove across the country at 18. Its my life.

  • I remember listening to this at a very young age, not really understanding the meaning. This song hits me on so many levels. Now at 25, on my own. Dealing with my struggles, I can finally say that I am on my way to happiness. Thank you Shinedown for this beautiful song.

  • This reminds me of my son who left to join the Marine Corps. His life is his own now to live for himself and our country. Leaving was hard for me but it was his Second Chance ????????????❤️

  • I remember hearing this song on the radio 6 years ago! Today in class my teacher played songs and this song came on. When I heard it I instantly wrote down the lyrics cus I've been wondering what this song was! NOW I FINALLY KNOW! :D

  • I mean, i get this story and all. But if she left just because her parents wouldn't allow or give lessons for ballet, that's stupid. I mean she has a job, why not just buy it yourself?

  • since i listen to this music for the first time it gave me strength to grow as a person… now i'm a portuguese barman working in the bar of the oldest hotel in England …

    So thank you =)

  • Ah, yes. Reminds me of when I dropped out of highschool to join the Marines. Followed my dream and then escaped the mill worker tradition of my family by using the GI Bill to get a college education and start my own family the right way, not 16 years old. Goodbye is indeed a second chance, and like anything worth while its not easy, but worth it in the end.
